Tour site's AI article sends tourists to hot springs that don't exist

Tasmania Tours, a booking site run by a New South Wales company, posted an AI-written article in July 2025. It ranked Weldborough Hot Springs among the best hot spring experiences in Tasmania for 2026. There are no hot springs in Weldborough; the local river is freezing cold. Tourists kept arriving at the town's hotel asking how to find the pools, and the pub fielded calls and visits daily. One touring group of 24 drivers went out of its way to look. The site's AI images of other attractions were also inaccurate. The owner admitted the AI had messed up completely and removed all its AI blog posts for review.
