Google AI invents pizza deals; diners blame a Missouri restaurant

Stefanina's, a family-owned pizzeria in Wentzville, Missouri, started seeing customers ask for deals it never offered. Google's AI Overviews had listed specials such as a large pizza for the price of a small one. Some menu items it showed were also wrong. Customers who came in expecting the deals got upset and shouted at staff when they were not honored. The restaurant posted a warning asking people not to use Google AI to look up its specials. It pointed customers to its own website and Facebook page instead. A family member told the local station that a small business can't honor a Google AI special.
