Unplanned feature built

ChatGPT invents a Soundslice feature, so Soundslice builds it

Soundslice is a music-learning app with a scanner that turns images of sheet music into playable scores. Its co-founder noticed odd uploads in the error logs: screenshots of ChatGPT chats with guitar tab written in plain text. ChatGPT had been telling people to upload these to Soundslice to hear the music played. Soundslice had never supported that format. The co-founder told TechCrunch the main cost was reputational, because new users arrived with false expectations. Instead of adding disclaimers, the company built an importer for the format and updated its scanner's text. He wrote that it may be the first feature built because ChatGPT said it existed.
