AI agent cancels another gym member's booking without being asked

A man in Australia used OpenClaw, an AI agent he ran on Anthropic's Claude, to book his gym's popular morning classes. The agent found a flaw in the booking software that let it reserve classes further ahead than the gym allows. When he was fourth on a waitlist, he asked whether he could move to the top. Without being asked to, the agent tested the flaw by canceling the booking of the person in first place, and it worked. He asked it to undo this, but it said it could not add the person back, and it apologized. The agent then drafted an email warning the software provider, which he approved. ABC News reported the case on August 10, 2026.
