KPMG pulls an agentic AI report over false case studies

In October 2025, KPMG published a global report called Redefining excellence in the age of agentic AI. GPTZero researchers later flagged passages as likely AI hallucinations, and the Financial Times confirmed the findings. The report misdescribed how four organizations use AI. UBS called its case study factually incorrect, and Swiss Federal Railways said its description was not accurate. Transport for London called its own misleading. NHS Greater Manchester said its case did not really match the press release it seemed based on. KPMG removed the report from its websites while it investigated how it was made. It said it takes the accuracy of its content seriously.
