Bloomberg corrects three dozen of its AI news summaries

In January 2025, Bloomberg began putting three AI-written bullet points at the top of its news articles. By late March, it had corrected at least three dozen of those summaries, The New York Times reported. In one case, Bloomberg broke news on President Trump's auto tariffs. The article was right, but its AI summary got wrong when a broader tariff action would take place. Other errors included wrong figures and misattributed information. Bloomberg said it publishes thousands of articles a day and that 99 percent of the AI summaries met its editorial standards. It said the summaries are meant to complement its journalism.
